Davenport, IA – The unseasonably mild and dry stretch gripping the Quad Cities region will continue through Saturday before cooler air arrives Sunday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in the Quad Cities.

According to NWS forecasters, highs today and Friday will range from the upper 50s to near 70 degrees—well above normal for mid-November. Sunshine and light winds will dominate much of the next 48 hours, offering ideal conditions for outdoor plans, late-season yardwork, and end-of-week travel.

Saturday will be the warmest day of the period, with highs reaching 65 to 70 degrees and west winds increasing to 15 to 25 mph. The dry pattern persists through the entire weekend, with no rainfall expected before late Sunday night.

A shift arrives Sunday as cooler air settles in, bringing highs back into the low to mid-50s. Cloud cover increases through the day as a developing storm system approaches the Midwest early next week.

NWS forecasters say this storm system could bring a chance of rain Monday night into Tuesday, though details regarding timing and amounts are still developing. Early indications suggest a widespread, but not overly heavy, rainfall event for portions of Iowa and Illinois.

While temperatures will trend downward early next week, conditions remain near seasonal averages once the cooler air settles in. No winter weather impacts are expected at this time.

Residents across the Quad Cities, Muscatine, Clinton, Rock Island, and surrounding communities may want to take advantage of one more mild weekend before more typical November weather returns.
