Pueblo and surrounding areas are under a weather alert as snow and rain move through Colorado this evening and into early Saturday, February 14, 2026. According to the US National Weather Service Pueblo, snow is expected across the higher terrain, particularly in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains and the San Juan Mountains. Snowfall could accumulate between 3 to 6 inches in these areas, making travel hazardous on mountain routes. Roads in these regions, including those near I-25 and Highway 160, may experience snow-covered conditions, particularly at higher elevations.

Rain showers are expected to impact the plains of southern Colorado, with precipitation primarily occurring this evening and overnight. While the plains will remain seasonably warm, motorists should still be cautious on I-25 and other roadways, as rain could lead to slick spots, especially around Pueblo and farther south. The best chance for rain on the plains will be during the evening hours.

Snow showers will continue through early Saturday, with the heaviest accumulations occurring in the southern mountains, including the San Juans and the southern Sangre De Cristos. While these higher areas are likely to see significant snow, the plains will generally remain clear by Saturday morning, though some rain may persist for a short time.

As the weather system moves out, expect drier conditions by Sunday, but tonight and Saturday morning may see poor travel conditions in mountain areas. Travelers heading into higher terrain or along I-25 should be prepared for snow and icy road conditions.
