Pueblo, Colorado – Another day of warm and dry weather is expected across southern Colorado Monday, with temperatures running above normal before a brief cool down arrives midweek.
According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, much of the region will see above-normal temperatures today, with highs climbing into the 50s and 60s across the Arkansas Valley and eastern plains. Cities along Interstate 25, including Pueblo and Colorado Springs, are forecast to reach the upper 50s to near 60 degrees, while lower elevations farther east may warm even more.
Dry conditions will continue through the day, supporting favorable travel and outdoor conditions along major corridors such as I-25, US-50, and US-287. No precipitation impacts are expected Monday.
A brief cool down is forecast to arrive Tuesday into Wednesday as a weak system moves through the region. Along with cooler temperatures, forecasters note slight chances for snow Tuesday night, mainly affecting higher elevations and select lower-elevation locations. No snowfall amounts were specified in the update, and impacts are expected to remain limited.
High temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday will dip compared to Monday, with readings generally returning closer to seasonal levels. Overnight temperatures will be colder, particularly in mountain valleys and higher terrain.
By Thursday, warmer temperatures and dry weather are expected to return and persist into the end of the week. Highs are forecast to rebound into the 50s and 60s once again across much of southern Colorado, including Pueblo, Canon City, La Junta, and Trinidad.
Commuters, outdoor workers, and travelers may notice the temperature swings most clearly between daytime warmth and cooler nights midweek. Drivers traveling mountain routes should stay alert Tuesday night in case of brief snow impacts.
Residents are encouraged to monitor updated forecasts, especially for midweek timing details, as conditions shift between warmer and cooler periods.
