Pueblo, Colorado – A warming trend will continue across southern Colorado through the middle of the workweek before a passing weather system brings cooler temperatures and a chance for light precipitation later in the week.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, dry conditions will dominate through Tuesday and Wednesday, with temperatures climbing well above recent levels. Highs in Pueblo are expected to reach the low to mid-50s, making midweek the warmest stretch in the forecast period.

Forecasters note that the degree of warming is being influenced by existing snow cover, with areas that have less snow warming more efficiently during the day. As a result, temperature differences may be noticeable across the region, especially between lower elevations and snow-covered mountain valleys.

By Thursday into Friday, a passing weather system is expected to move across Colorado. This system will bring cooler temperatures back to the region, along with the possibility of light precipitation. At this time, any precipitation appears limited, and no significant snow accumulations are anticipated for lower elevations, including Pueblo.

High temperatures late week are forecast to trend downward into the 40s, while overnight lows dip back into the 20s to low 30s, restoring a more typical January feel. Winds may increase slightly with the late-week system, but no weather advisories have been issued.

The overall pattern should result in minimal travel impacts, though commuters and outdoor workers may notice cooler mornings and changing conditions as the week progresses.
