Pueblo, CO – Southern Colorado is seeing record-breaking warmth today, with temperatures soaring well above normal across the plains. The National Weather Service in Pueblo reports that highs could reach the upper 70s to low 80s before a cold front moves in late tonight.

According to the National Weather Service, record highs are possible in several locations, including Pueblo (81°F) and Colorado Springs (76°F)—records last set in 2008 and 1941 respectively. Winds will remain light for most of the day, generally under 15 mph, though gusts up to 25 mph are possible over the higher peaks.

Forecasters say the warm spell will be short-lived. A cold front is expected to arrive overnight, bringing temperatures back to seasonal levels for Monday. Residents in southern Colorado can expect cooler, more typical early November weather to start the workweek.

Those enjoying the mild Sunday conditions are advised to stay hydrated and prepare for a noticeable temperature drop after sunset.
