Pueblo, Colorado — Warmer-than-normal temperatures are expected to continue across southern Colorado through much of the upcoming week.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, temperatures across the region could run 10 to 20 degrees above seasonal averages through Tuesday.

Sunday’s forecast shows mostly sunny conditions across much of southern Colorado, with warmer temperatures spreading across the plains and mountain valleys.

Breezy conditions are also expected to develop during the period, which could increase fire danger in some locations, especially where dry conditions persist.

Forecasters say the warm pattern will continue through Monday and Tuesday, with daytime highs reaching well above typical early March values in many communities across the region.

A passing weather system and cold front are expected late Tuesday, bringing a slight cooldown across the plains by Wednesday.

Along with the temperature drop, the system may also bring a chance of showers across the plains Tuesday, according to the forecast outlook.

Despite the midweek cooldown, temperatures are expected to remain relatively mild compared with seasonal averages across much of southern Colorado.

Students, commuters, and outdoor workers across the region may notice warmer afternoons and breezy conditions through the early part of the week.

The National Weather Service encourages residents to stay updated with forecast changes, particularly as breezy conditions may elevate fire danger in some areas.
