Salt Lake City, UT – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for several regions across Utah and southwest Wyoming, with snowfall expected to continue through Friday morning.
According to the National Weather Service, snowfall will persist in the eastern benches of Salt Lake Valley and Utah Valley, including Sandy, West Jordan, Lehi, Provo, and Salt Lake City, until 8 a.m. MST. These areas could see an additional 1 to 3 inches of accumulation, impacting the Friday morning commute with slick and hazardous roads.
Further east, Wasatch Back, including Heber City, Park City, and Huntsville, is forecast to receive between 2 and 4 inches of snow, with the advisory in place until noon MST. Drivers in this region should expect winter driving conditions and exercise caution.
In Tooele and Rush Valleys, as well as eastern Juab and Millard counties, snowfall will continue until 11 a.m. MST, with total accumulations reaching up to 6 inches in higher elevations like the Tooele and Stockton Bench area.
Southwest Wyoming, including Lyman and Evanston, remains under a winter weather advisory until noon MST, with up to 2 inches of additional snowfall expected. Roads may become slick due to slush and drifting snow.
