Tallahassee, FL – High winds from Potential Tropical Cyclone #9 are expected to cause widespread power outages across Florida’s Panhandle and northern regions as the storm intensifies. Forecasts predict winds exceeding 74 mph in some areas, particularly along the Gulf Coast, beginning late Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has also cautioned that downed power lines and uprooted trees could make roads impassable, further delaying restoration efforts. Residents are urged to prepare for extended outages by charging devices, securing backup power sources, and stocking up on non-perishable food and water.
