Portsmouth, NH – The New Hampshire State Police are warning drivers of significant delays Wednesday after a crash shut down both travel lanes at the Portsmouth traffic circle.
According to State Police, traffic is currently being directed through the breakdown lane while troopers investigate the incident. The crash has caused major congestion at one of the Seacoast’s busiest intersections, which connects Route 1, Route 16, and Interstate 95.
Authorities have not confirmed whether any injuries occurred or how long the closure will remain in place. Motorists traveling between Kittery, Maine, and the Portsmouth area are advised to plan extra time for detours or expect slow-moving conditions.
