Portage, IN – The body of a missing man was discovered by Portage Police on Saturday in a heavily wooded area of Imagination Glen Park in Porter County. The extensive search effort included Portage K9 Teams, the Portage Fire Department, and Porter County Search and Rescue due to the park’s vast terrain and natural obstacles.

According to the Portage Police Department, there is no indication of foul play in the man’s death. Authorities have confirmed there is no active threat to public safety or any evidence of a safety issue within the park. The police stated that releasing information was not standard practice but necessary to counter misinformation spreading on social media. Incorrect rumors had suggested the incident involved a child or posed an active threat in the park.

No further information is expected to be released about the incident.
