Portage, MI – Motorists traveling overnight on South Westnedge Avenue should prepare for lane closures starting Sunday, July 21. The northbound curb lane at the Portage Crossing Drive intersection and Portage Crossing Drive will close nightly for storm sewer construction.
According to the Portage MI Department of Public Safety – Police & Fire, the closures will begin each night at 9:30 PM and reopen by 6 AM the following morning. The project, aimed at connecting South Westnedge Avenue to a city stormwater retention facility, is set to complete by Friday, September 27, weather permitting.
