Portage, MI — Starting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, November 5, Portage will close the eastbound curb lane on East Centre Avenue, located east of Kingston Drive, for site development improvements. The lane closure will allow for a water main service tap, driveway upgrades, curb and gutter installations, and road resurfacing at the construction site at 732 East Centre Avenue.

The Portage Department of Public Safety anticipates the lane closure will last approximately two weeks. Traffic delays are expected, and city officials advise drivers to consider alternate routes to avoid congestion.

Motorists can reach the Portage Department of Transportation & Utilities at (269) 329-4422 for further information about the lane closure and project updates. Local commuters are urged to plan for potential delays and monitor traffic alerts for any adjustments in the schedule.
