Portage, IN – A 23-year-old Portage man was arrested Wednesday following an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation that allegedly uncovered child sexual abuse material on electronic devices, according to the Indiana State Police.
Authorities say the arrest took place October 29, 2025, in the 6400 block of Hannah Drive. The investigation stemmed from multiple Cyber Tips received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that were traced to the suspect’s residence and online accounts.
According to Sgt. Glen Fifield with the Indiana State Police Lowell Post, investigators served subpoenas and executed search warrants at the home, where several electronic devices were seized. At least one device allegedly contained confirmed child sexual abuse material.
The suspect, identified as Anthony J. Davis, was transported to the Porter County Jail and preliminarily charged with one count of Child Exploitation, a Level 5 Felony. Additional charges could be filed following review by the Porter County Prosecutor’s Office.
The investigation involved the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Portage Police Department.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
