Portage, IN – Authorities are asking for help identifying two suspects involved in the alleged theft of a Pomchi puppy. The incident occurred at Furry Babies on U.S. Highway 6 around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
According to the Portage Police Department, a man and woman entered the store and allegedly stole the puppy, a cross between a Pomeranian and Chihuahua. Store surveillance captured images of the suspects, who left the scene before staff realized the theft.
Detective Corporal Trent Howard is leading the investigation. He urges anyone with information to contact the department at 219-762-3122 or 219-764-5675. Police are hopeful that the public will assist in identifying the suspects based on the released images.
