Pontiac, MI – A Pontiac man accused of sexually assaulting a female relative for the past seven years was arraigned Friday in Oakland County, where his bond was set at $100,000 cash.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, 44-year-old Brian David Hallock was charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct following his arrest on Sept. 25. Deputies said the alleged abuse began when the victim was 7 years old and continued until she was 14.

Sheriff Michael Bouchard said in a statement, “There is no conduct more reprehensible than not only ignoring that duty but violating the very child they are meant to safeguard. I look forward to seeing him held fully accountable.”

Deputies were dispatched Sept. 16 to a home on Second Avenue in Pontiac after a sexual assault report. Hallock was later taken into custody at his residence. Authorities said he denied the allegations when questioned, but the victim disclosed a pattern of abuse spanning seven years.

Hallock is employed as a third-grade teacher at a charter school, though officials confirmed the victim is not one of his students. If released on bond, he must wear a GPS tether and is prohibited from contact with anyone under age 18.

A preliminary examination is scheduled for Oct. 15 before Judge Ronda Gross in 50th District Court.
