
GRUNDY COUNTY, IL – Erin Waibel, a 44-year-old Morris resident, is facing multiple charges in Grundy County, including a class four felony for domestic battery. Waibel is accused of allegedly physically assaulting a former male acquaintance in the Morris area on March 17th around 8:30 a.m.
According to Morris Police, it’s alleged that Waibel damaged a Playstation and laptop computer during the incident.
According to Morris Police Deputy Chief Chad Skelton, Waibel was previously arrested by the Morris Police Department in September 2022 on a domestic battery charge from Grundy County. She was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge for that charge earlier this month.
Waibel is currently free on a $5,000 bond and awaiting trial. The charges against her include resisting an officer and criminal damage to property, both misdemeanors, in addition to the felony charge for domestic battery.
