Pittsburgh, PA – A 28-year-old man has been charged after allegedly making threats toward Shaler Elementary School and multiple individuals earlier today. Allegheny County detectives began investigating yesterday after Shaler Township Police requested assistance.

According to the Allegheny County Police Department, officials determined that Daniel White reportedly entered Resolve Crisis Services in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood on Sunday and allegedly made the threats before leaving the facility.

Authorities said White was located earlier this morning at the Allegheny County Courthouse and taken into custody by sheriff’s deputies. He is charged with three counts of terroristic threats.

Police emphasized that with the new school year beginning, threats against schools, students and staff are taken seriously and will be investigated thoroughly.

Officials urged the public to report concerning activity, reminding residents that if they see something, they should say something.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit is leading the case. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
