Marion, MA – Seven people were arrested in Marion after Massachusetts State Police and local authorities disrupted an alleged drug trafficking operation involving fentanyl, cocaine, and other narcotics.
According to Massachusetts State Police, troopers and detectives working with Marion Police and the Plymouth County Detective Unit intercepted a fentanyl transaction Tuesday afternoon on Point Road. Officers arrested both the alleged dealer and customer, seized a large quantity of fentanyl, and secured a residence for a search warrant.
Inside the home, investigators found approximately 32 grams of fentanyl, 840 grams of cocaine, oxycodone pills, psilocybin mushrooms, and a large amount of U.S. currency. Police said the evidence was consistent with drug distribution.
Authorities also arrested a man wanted on two active violent crime warrants related to an armed home invasion in Wareham, along with a woman allegedly found with crack cocaine. Later that evening, police said two brothers of the initial suspect returned to the residence and were also taken into custody.
A seventh suspect, believed to be a narcotics customer, attempted to flee police in a vehicle but was arrested after a pursuit.
