Pueblo, CO – The National Weather Service in Pueblo reports that dry, near-normal temperatures will continue across southern Colorado through Friday before a major pattern shift arrives later this weekend.
Highs today will generally reach the upper 40s to mid-50s across the plains, with cooler conditions in the mountains. Conditions will remain quiet and mild through the holiday, offering a pleasant break before colder air returns.
However, forecasters are tracking a developing wintry system expected to impact northern and central Colorado this weekend. While the best chances for heavier moisture have shifted northward, southern Colorado will still see much colder temperatures and a chance for snow, especially in the mountains late Sunday into Monday.
Forecast Highlights:
- 🌤️ Wednesday–Friday: Dry and near normal; highs 50–55°F on the plains, 40s in higher elevations.
- 🦃 Thanksgiving Day: Mild with highs near 60°F in La Junta and Pueblo; 40s in Colorado Springs.
- ❄️ Late Sunday–Monday: Increasing chances for mountain snow; possible light snow for the plains.
NWS Pueblo cautions residents to monitor updated forecasts as the weekend storm track remains uncertain. Even small shifts could change snow potential across the southern plains.
