Pittsfield, IL – A serious crash involving a motorcycle has closed a portion of IL-106 near Pittsfield in western Illinois.
Illinois State Police Troop 6 confirmed the incident in a statement posted just after noon today. According to officials, the crash occurred approximately half a mile north of US-54, prompting an emergency response and road closure for scene processing.
Authorities stated IL-106 is expected to remain closed for at least one hour. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes while the investigation is underway.
There has been no official word yet on the condition of those involved in the crash. Police have not confirmed how many people were injured or the circumstances leading up to the collision.
