Pittsburgh, Pa. – Two rounds of showers are set to move through western Pennsylvania and the Ohio–West Virginia border region Saturday, bringing on-and-off rainfall and a noticeable drop in temperatures. The first wave arrived early in the morning, and a second round is expected by midday, with the heaviest activity targeting communities southeast of Pittsburgh.

According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, light to moderate showers will favor counties near the Ohio–West Virginia line through the morning, including Carrollton, Coshocton, and Wheeling. The second batch of storms is forecast to shift east by mid-afternoon, affecting areas near Morgantown and Latrobe before tapering off this evening.

Roads along I-70, I-79, and U.S. 22 may see slick travel conditions during both storm periods. Commuters are advised to allow extra travel time, especially in areas where rain bands overlap. Temperatures will run about 10 degrees cooler than normal, holding many spots in the low 70s instead of the usual early September warmth.

Showers should diminish late tonight, but additional updates may be issued if storm cells linger longer than expected.
