Pittsburgh, PA – Scattered showers may affect parts of southwestern Pennsylvania today, particularly south and southeast of Pittsburgh, according to the National Weather Service. Residents across Allegheny County and nearby areas could see light rain early Saturday before conditions begin to improve.
According to the US National Weather Service Pittsburgh office, rain chances peak in the late morning to midday hours, with probabilities ranging from 45% to 80% in some southern counties. Cities including Morgantown, Davis, and Franklin are most likely to see rain during the morning and early afternoon. Pittsburgh itself is expected to remain mostly cloudy with only slight chances for precipitation.
Temperatures on Saturday will reach the mid-70s before dropping into the upper 50s overnight. By Sunday, conditions turn around significantly. Skies are forecast to clear, bringing mostly sunny and dry weather to the region. Highs are expected to climb near 80 degrees, offering one of the last warm weekends of early fall.
The NWS encourages residents planning outdoor activities to prepare for possible damp conditions early Saturday, but the second half of the weekend should be ideal for travel, festivals, and outdoor sports.
