Pittsburgh, PA – Traffic briefly slowed on I-376 this morning after a multi vehicle crash. Authorities closed lanes near Exit 69C for just over an hour.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the disruption occurred around 9 a.m. between Exit 69C for PA 837 North – West Carson Street and the intersection of Garage Entrance. All lanes were reopened to drivers by approximately 10:00 a.m.
Officials did not release details on the nature of the incident, but traffic flow was restored shortly after crews cleared the scene. The closure caused temporary backups for morning commuters entering the downtown area from the west.
Motorists are reminded to remain alert and allow for extra travel time when incidents occur along major routes, particularly during peak hours. PennDOT also advises drivers to monitor its 511PA service for real-time traffic and road condition updates.
