Authorities said the suspect, later identified as Jason Fields, 44, allegedly crashed his vehicle near Lincoln Road and Verona Road in Penn Hills while attempting to flee from officers. No injuries were reported during the incident though Fields allegedly reached speeds of up to 80 mph.

Police confirmed Fields was taken into custody. A firearm and large amounts of cash were allegedly recovered at the scene. Officials said Fields is facing multiple charges related to the robbery and flight from police.
