Rain chances remain light today, but conditions turn more active as the weekend begins. Tonight stays mild with temperatures near 59°F and only isolated rain showers.
Saturday brings the biggest change. Temperatures surge toward 77°F, creating a warm and humid feel across western Pennsylvania. Showers become more widespread during the afternoon before steadier rain and possible thunderstorms arrive Saturday night.
Some storms could produce brief heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Wet pavement may slow travel across the Parkway East, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and surrounding suburbs.
By Sunday, skies clear quickly and cooler air returns. Sunshine pushes highs near 61°F, offering a calmer end to the weekend.
Early Sunday morning also marks the seasonal clock change. Clocks spring forward at 2 a.m., bringing longer daylight evenings across Pennsylvania.
Warm spring air continues into early next week. Monday turns sunny with highs near 71°F, and temperatures remain mild heading into midweek.
