PITTSBURGH – Saturday, Sept. 20, Blinky’s Noble Bar and Grill will host a two hour DIY bubbling cauldron class starting at noon. Classes cost $65 per person and materials will be provided by Sass Crafts. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase.
Christina and Sara Ecker will assist students as they design and craft witchy bubbling cauldrons with ribbons, lighting, and eyeballs. Attendees should reserve their spots as soon as possible as both space and materials are limited.
There is also a day-of drawing for Halloween themed wine glass and earring prizes for students that tag their friends on Sass Craft’s social media event page.
Sass Craft offers Halloween themed DIY crafting classes through the season. The group provides materials and offers more laid back, private in-home classes for groups of eight.
Tarot card readings, community rituals, and astrology group meetups get residents connected to the Halloween season and each other. Hocus Pocus, Pittsburgh’s oldest metaphysical shop, serves as a hub for eccentrics.
Metaphysical shops provide education about esoteric arts for residents. Classes such as the DIY cauldron class give more insight into how people celebrate the season, remember their ancestors, and have fun with their neighbors.
“Halloween, the fall season really, get everyone out and about,” said a resident. “It’s a great time for it. We’re such a weird city full of weird people doing weird things, but that’s what makes us all connected.”
