Pittsburgh, PA – Trick-or-treaters across western Pennsylvania should bundle up and prepare for cool, damp, and breezy conditions later this week, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh.

Many local communities are holding Halloween festivities on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, and the early evening forecast calls for rain showers and chilly air on all three nights.

Thursday is expected to be the wettest, with steady rain and temperatures in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Friday will bring a few scattered showers and gusty winds, with lows near 50°F, while Saturday stays cool and unsettled with lingering showers and temperatures in the 40s.

The NWS says trick-or-treat hours between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. each evening will feature damp, breezy weather, with Friday likely to feel the windiest. Families are encouraged to dress warmly, use water-resistant costumes, and watch for slick sidewalks.

Despite the chill, forecasters note no severe weather is expected, just a classic cool, breezy Halloween weekend across western Pennsylvania.
