Pittsburgh, PA – Snowfall and rain will affect the Pittsburgh region today, with hazardous conditions anticipated in higher elevations.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), colder air moving in from the west will create challenging road conditions. The Laurel Highlands and elevated areas of West Virginia may see the highest impacts. Snowfall in these regions could reach 2–4 inches by this evening.

Lower elevations, including Pittsburgh, are expected to experience less than half an inch of snow due to warmer ground temperatures. Forecasters predict rain will mix with snow through the day, with temperatures hovering near 39°F. Tonight, snow accumulation of less than one inch remains possible as temperatures drop to 32°F.

The NWS has issued a hazardous weather outlook for western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. Motorists are urged to drive with caution as reduced visibility and slick roads are likely.

The cold front is expected to continue impacting the region through Friday, bringing rain and wind. Travelers should monitor conditions and plan accordingly.
