Pickens County, SC – Detectives have arrested a man in connection with two gas station burglaries in Liberty earlier this month, according to the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.

The V-GO gas station, located at 8349 Moorefield Memorial Highway, was allegedly burglarized on September 2 and again on September 17, 2025. In both cases, deputies say forced entry occurred and cash, cigarettes, and multiple vape products were stolen.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators identified Dewayne Wallace Carroll as the suspect. He was arrested in Easley on September 18. At the time of his arrest, deputies reported recovering some of the stolen property. A search warrant executed at a home in Anderson County uncovered more allegedly stolen goods.

The Sheriff’s Office thanked the Easley Police Department and Anderson County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the case.

Carroll now faces the following charges:

  • Burglary (second degree) – two counts
  • Grand Larceny – two counts

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
