Pickens County, SC – Fourteen suspects were arrested across Pickens and Anderson counties following a series of undercover drug investigations, the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office announced this week. The operation, involving multiple law enforcement agencies, resulted in 35 total charges tied primarily to methamphetamine and fentanyl distribution.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Special Operations Unit, Direct Patrol Unit, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), and Easley Police Department jointly conducted the operation. The investigations targeted various areas throughout Pickens County, the City of Easley, and neighboring Anderson County.

Of the 35 total charges, officials said eight involved trafficking offenses, twelve were for methamphetamine distribution, and eight for fentanyl distribution. Several defendants were reportedly charged with multiple offenses, including trafficking within proximity of parks or schools.

Authorities thanked the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office for assisting in warrant execution and searches. “Drug trafficking doesn’t stop at jurisdictional lines,” the department noted, emphasizing the collaboration between upstate agencies in addressing narcotics distribution.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Sheriff’s Office encouraged residents who suspect drug-related activity in their neighborhoods to contact their office directly.
