Phoenix, AZ – Temperatures across Arizona are set to rise significantly in the coming days, with Phoenix expected to see some of the hottest conditions of 2025 so far. A strong high-pressure system will drive temperatures well above seasonal averages, potentially reaching the mid-to-upper 90s by early next week.

According to the National Weather Service in Phoenix, daily warming will continue for at least the next seven days. By the weekend, temperatures are forecasted to be 15 degrees above normal, with highs nearing 97°F in Phoenix by Monday. Other areas, including Globe and Yuma, will also experience significant temperature increases, with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s.

Forecasters note that while record-breaking highs are unlikely, some locations may approach daily records. Overnight lows will remain warm, hovering in the 50s and 60s, reducing relief from the heat. The NWS also reports a low chance (10-20%) for temperatures exceeding 100°F next week.

With dry and tranquil conditions expected, meteorologists advise residents to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and take precautions against heat-related illnesses. Officials urge residents to monitor updates as the heatwave progresses, particularly those in vulnerable groups such as the elderly and young children.
