Drivers along I-10 and Loop 202 should prepare for glare and heat-related vehicle issues. In Yuma County, similar triple-digit heat continues through Saturday, with agricultural crews urged to shift work to early morning hours.
Conditions begin to shift by Sunday afternoon as cloud cover increases statewide. By Monday and Tuesday, Phoenix drops to 96°F and then 93°F, while Globe falls sharply into the low 80s before reaching 72°F by midweek. Light rain chances develop over higher terrain, including areas along US-60 and State Route 260.
Residents should hydrate frequently, limit outdoor activity between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., and check cooling systems now. Additional updates are expected as the cooling trend strengthens into midweek.
