Phoenix, Arizona — Well above normal temperatures will continue across central and southwestern Arizona through the weekend, with dry conditions and mostly clear skies dominating the forecast.

According to the National Weather Service in Phoenix, daytime highs will remain unseasonably warm through Sunday, with Phoenix expected to reach the upper 70s to near 80 degrees each afternoon. Overnight lows will generally fall into the upper 40s to low 50s, remaining mild for mid-January.

Similar conditions are expected across surrounding communities. Forecast highs include the mid to upper 60s in Globe and Miami, and upper 70s to near 80 degrees in Yuma and El Centro, with cool but comfortable nighttime temperatures.

Forecasters note a gradual cooling trend beginning early next week, though temperatures are still expected to stay above seasonal averages. Afternoon breezes may develop at times today and Friday, with occasional wind gusts up to 20 mph, before lighter winds return over the weekend.

The weather pattern will remain dry, with no rain expected through at least the middle of next week. Only occasional passing high clouds are forecast, keeping skies mostly clear.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay hydrated and take advantage of the favorable outdoor conditions, while remaining mindful that cooler mornings can still feel chilly before temperatures warm quickly during the day.
