Philadelphia, PA – After the coldest morning of the season so far, conditions across eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware will turn milder today — but a round of showers is on the way tonight.
According to the US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly, temperatures will climb into the upper 50s to low 60s this afternoon, with increasing clouds and breezy winds developing by evening. Rain chances rise after sunset, spreading from northwest to southeast, with the highest rain probabilities (70–80%) expected across Trenton, Morristown, and coastal New Jersey.
The showers should taper off by early Saturday morning, leading to a pleasant and dry start to the weekend. However, forecasters note that rain will return on Sunday as another cold front approaches, followed by colder air early next week.
Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time tonight as light rain and wet roads may affect the evening commute.
