Philadelphia, PA – A dramatic temperature shift is on the way for Pennsylvania, bringing unseasonably warm weather Saturday before a cold blast Sunday and rain showers midweek. Residents should prepare for fluctuating conditions, with highs nearing 60°F on Saturday, dipping into the 30s Sunday, and warming back into the 60s by Wednesday when rain moves in.

According to the National Weather Service in Philadelphia/Mount Holly, Saturday will be the warmest day of the weekend, with partly sunny skies and a high of 59°F before temperatures drop sharply overnight to 24°F. Sunday will be much colder, with a high of just 37°F and sunny skies. Monday and Tuesday will see a gradual warm-up, with highs of 40°F and 51°F, respectively.

By Wednesday, another shift brings rain showers and above-normal temperatures, with a high of 61°F. Commuters should prepare for potential wet roads during the midweek morning and evening rush hours. Winds will be light over the weekend but may pick up by Wednesday as the storm system moves in.

Pennsylvania drivers, especially those on I-95 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike, should stay updated on changing conditions. Although roads will remain dry through early next week, Wednesday’s rain could impact travel.

Residents should dress in layers to handle the temperature swings and keep an umbrella handy for midweek showers. Stay tuned for updates as the forecast develops.
