Mount Holly, NJ – Light rain and occasional snow showers are expected across parts of eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and northern Maryland Sunday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Mount Holly.
Forecasters say today won’t be as cold, especially near the coast, with highs ranging from the upper 30s in Mount Pocono to the mid-50s near the Jersey Shore. Light rain will develop through the day across much of the region, while areas north of Interstate 78 may see a brief mix of rain and snow, especially in higher elevations.
The NWS notes that a light coating of snow is possible for some elevated areas in northern Pennsylvania and northwestern New Jersey, but the day will not be a washout. Skies are expected to clear overnight, with temperatures turning colder ahead of a sunny and seasonably cool Monday.
Drivers in the Poconos and Lehigh Valley should watch for slippery spots on untreated roads late this afternoon, particularly as temperatures fall after sunset.
