Philadelphia Weather Alert: Early Rain Monday, Wind Gusts Up to 40 MPH by Tuesday

Philadelphia, PA – The National Weather Service in Mount Holly says light rain and breezy winds will start the week for the Philadelphia metro area, followed by several days of clear, sunny weather and near-seasonal temperatures.

At Philadelphia International Airport, early Monday readings showed 55°F with overcast skies and light northwest winds. Forecasters expect scattered showers overnight before clouds clear Monday afternoon. Daytime highs will reach around 53°F, with west winds increasing to 15–20 mph and gusts up to 30 mph.

By Tuesday and Veterans Day, conditions will turn breezy and bright, with highs near 44–54°F and gusts topping 40 mph at times. Cooler nights will dip into the mid-30s, with dry air holding through the rest of the week.

Looking ahead, forecasters expect mostly sunny skies through Friday with highs in the mid-50s, making for a mild and calm stretch heading into the weekend.

Residents are advised to secure outdoor items such as holiday decorations and trash bins before winds increase Monday evening into Tuesday.
