Philadelphia, PA – A crisp fall morning will give way to a sunny and comfortable afternoon across eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware before a stronger cold front arrives late Sunday. The National Weather Service in Mount Holly says Friday will start chilly, with lows in the 30s and 40s, before afternoon highs rebound into the 60s under bright sunshine.

According to the National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly office, a stretch of quiet and mild fall weather will dominate through the weekend. By Saturday and Sunday, temperatures will climb well above average, reaching the upper 60s to low 70s. Winds will stay light, and skies will remain mostly clear through Sunday afternoon, offering excellent conditions for outdoor plans across the Delaware Valley, South Jersey shore, and Lehigh Valley.

A strong cold front is forecast to move through Sunday night, bringing a brief round of showers and a drop in temperatures by Monday morning. Rainfall amounts are expected to stay light, but wet roads could impact late-evening travel on I-95, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and the Garden State Parkway. Behind the front, cooler and breezier conditions will return early next week, with highs dipping back into the 50s.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy the mild weekend but keep jackets handy for early mornings and prepare for a noticeable cooldown after the front passes.
