Philadelphia, PA – A quiet start to the week across eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware will give way to stormy midweek conditions, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly.

After a cool and dry Monday with highs in the 50s to near 60°F, forecasters say scattered showers and drizzle may develop Tuesday and Wednesday, especially southeast of I-95, as breezy northeast winds pick up along the coast.

The main system arrives Wednesday night through Thursday, bringing widespread rain, strong winds, and the potential for coastal flooding along the New Jersey and Delaware beaches. The NWS says minor to moderate coastal flooding is possible depending on wind strength and tidal timing.

Conditions are expected to improve by Friday, though lingering showers and breezy winds will keep temperatures cool heading into the weekend.

Drivers and coastal residents are encouraged to stay alert for updated advisories as the midweek storm approaches.
