Mount Holly, NJ – The region will enjoy one more warm, breezy day before a strong cold front sweeps through Sunday night, bringing showers and gusty winds, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly.
Forecasters say Sunday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures reaching the low to mid-70s across much of New Jersey, southeastern Pennsylvania, and northern Delaware. Conditions will stay dry through the daylight hours, offering a mild and comfortable afternoon for outdoor plans.
By late evening, a strong cold front will move through the area, triggering scattered showers and a few isolated rumbles of thunder. Winds are expected to increase overnight, with gusts of 40 to 50 mph possible as the front passes.
The weather service warns that brief downpours and sudden wind shifts could impact travel late Sunday night into early Monday. Cooler air will follow the system, with temperatures dropping sharply overnight into the 40s by Monday morning.
Monday is expected to be cooler and breezy with highs in the 50s before calmer conditions return midweek.
