PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – A calm and slightly warmer-than-average November night is setting up across eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, with lows mostly in the 40s and increasing clouds ahead of a wetter Sunday. While temperatures will stay mild for this time of year, a few spotty showers could develop late tonight, mainly over eastern Pennsylvania and far northern New Jersey.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, skies will range from partly to mostly cloudy overnight, with most locations holding between 44° and 51°. Areas farther south, including Atlantic City, Cape May, and Bethany Beach, may stay closer to the mid-50s, while cooler readings around 40° are expected in the Poconos and northwest New Jersey.

Rain chances increase Sunday as a weak front moves in from the west, spreading light to moderate showers across the region. Most rainfall amounts will stay below half an inch, but some pockets of steadier rain may linger through the afternoon, especially along the I-95 corridor from Wilmington through Trenton and Newark.

Travelers and outdoor plans won’t face major disruptions, but damp conditions could lead to slower commutes and slippery roads early Sunday. Winds will remain light overnight, turning southerly Sunday as mild air holds on before a gradual cooldown early next week.

Residents can expect more typical November chill to return by midweek, with overnight lows dropping into the 30s inland and 40s near the coast under clearing skies.
