Philadelphia, PA – A colder air mass has settled across the region to start the week, bringing breezy and chilly conditions today before clouds increase and rain chances return by Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Philadelphia/Mount Holly. While winds will still be noticeable today, they are expected to be weaker than Sunday’s gusty conditions.

According to the NWS, today’s temperatures will range from 40 to 50 degrees under partly sunny skies. A cold northwest breeze will persist for much of the day, making it feel cooler at times. Forecasters note that a brief morning snow shower is possible, mainly north and west of Philadelphia, though any flakes will be short-lived and should not lead to impacts.

Tonight will be cold once again, with lows dipping into the upper 20s and 30s. Winds will gradually decrease overnight.

On Tuesday, temperatures rise into the upper 40s to near 50 degrees. Cloud cover will increase throughout the day as a weak system approaches from the southwest. Winds will be lighter compared to recent days. By Tuesday night, light rain is possible—especially in areas south of Philadelphia, including parts of Delaware and southern New Jersey. Any rain that develops is expected to remain light and scattered.

Wednesday offers a slight warm-up, with highs in the mid-40s to low 50s under mostly cloudy skies. Forecasters say the afternoon may feel a bit milder as winds calm and cloud cover remains steady.

Residents across Philadelphia, Montgomery County, Bucks County, Delaware County, and South Jersey should prepare for a chilly start to the week followed by a gradual increase in clouds and rain chances.
