Philadelphia, PA – A chilly fall air mass has settled over eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, bringing cool days and crisp nights through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Philadelphia/Mount Holly.
Highs will remain in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees across much of the region through early next week, while overnight lows dip into the mid-30s to low 40s. Areas farther inland, such as Allentown, Reading, and Mount Pocono, may see patchy frost during the early morning hours, especially away from the coasts and city centers.
Forecasters expect the region to stay dry through at least Tuesday, with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies under the influence of high pressure. By midweek, a developing low-pressure system could bring renewed rain chances, though confidence in timing and amounts remains low.
The NWS encourages residents to take precautions to protect outdoor plants from frost and enjoy the stretch of classic fall weather before rain returns.
