Mount Holly, NJ – Blustery conditions will grip the region Friday as wind gusts across New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and northern Delaware climb past 40 mph, posing a hazard for drivers and outdoor activities. Overnight lows are expected to bottom out in the upper 20s to low 30s across much of the area, with wind chills dropping into the teens for some inland locations.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, winds will ramp up through early Friday morning, peaking between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Gusts could reach 45 mph in elevated areas of the Poconos and northwestern New Jersey. Sustained winds of 15–25 mph will make for a brisk and potentially hazardous morning commute, particularly on elevated roadways like I-78 and the New Jersey Turnpike.

Isolated snow showers are possible in higher terrain areas, though accumulations are expected to be minimal. Residents are urged to secure loose outdoor items, avoid unnecessary high-profile vehicle travel, and layer up as wind chills will make it feel significantly colder than the thermometer reads.

Winds will begin to subside late Friday, but colder air lingers into the weekend. Additional advisories could be issued if conditions worsen.
