Philadelphia, PA – After a mild and occasionally damp weekend, residents in eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware should prepare for a sharp drop in temperatures early next week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Philadelphia/Mount Holly.
A few early showers Saturday morning will give way to sunshine, with highs ranging from the upper 50s to near 70°F. Clouds increase Sunday, and scattered showers are likely in the afternoon and evening as a cold front moves in.
By Monday, temperatures tumble into the 40s and low 50s, with a few flurries or snow showers possible north of I-78. The chill deepens Tuesday, when highs remain in the 30s and 40s, and wind chills dip into the teens and 20s.
Forecasters say this will mark the coldest air of the season so far, but conditions will stay dry after Monday’s front.
