Bristow, Indiana – State Road 145 will close near Audubon Road beginning Wednesday, Feb. 25, for a bridge rehabilitation project in Perry County.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, crews will close State Road 145 over Branch Kraus Creek between Audubon Road and Arrowhead Road on or around Wednesday. The closure is scheduled to begin Feb. 25 and is expected to remain in place through the end of May, weather permitting.

The project will allow for bridge rehabilitation work along the SR-145 corridor near Bristow. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure, but through traffic will need to follow an official detour.

INDOT officials said the designated detour will route drivers from State Road 62 to State Road 37 before reconnecting with SR-145.

SR-145 serves as a key connector for drivers traveling between Bristow and surrounding Perry County communities, including those commuting toward Tell City and Interstate 64.

Motorists are urged to slow down, use caution in work zones, and plan additional travel time during the closure period.

Commuters, school transportation routes, and commercial vehicles using SR-145 may experience the greatest impact during the multi-month project.

Drivers can monitor updated traffic conditions and construction alerts through INDOT resources.

The closure limits were recently updated, and officials advise checking posted signage before traveling in the area.
