Peoria, IL – The Peoria Police Department invites families to its annual Trick-or-Treat event on Friday, October 25, 2024. The event, held at PPD Headquarters at 600 SW Adams Street, will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and promises a safe, candy-filled Halloween experience.
Peoria Police will provide all the candy for the event, which offers a secure trick-or-treating option for local families. For those opting to trick-or-treat elsewhere, the department has issued safety guidelines to help ensure a safe Halloween.
According to the Peoria Police Department, children should stick to daylight hours for trick-or-treating. Parents are advised to never let their children go alone. Costumes should be bright or have reflective tape for visibility. Children should always walk on sidewalks, and adults should carry flashlights for safety. Additionally, all Halloween treats should be inspected before consumption.
