According to the Peoria Police Department, officers responded at approximately 7:02 p.m. Monday to the 2300 block of North Sheridan Road following reports of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they located a 30-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent stab wound to the hand.

Police said the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening.

During the investigation, officers identified and located a suspect a short distance from the scene. Police identified the suspect as 43-year-old Ariel L. Wilson, who was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Peoria County Jail.
