Peoria, IL – A 28-year-old Peoria man was arrested Saturday morning after police responded to reports of a disturbance at a residence.
According to the Peoria Police Department, officers arrived at a home in the 700 block of Hightower around 9:38 a.m. on March 15, 2025, and encountered Julius Wilson, who allegedly refused to exit the residence. After a brief negotiation, Wilson surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody.
During a search of the residence, police allegedly discovered a handgun inside. Wilson was transported to the Peoria Police Department for questioning before being arrested on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He was later booked into the Peoria County Jail.
