Peoria, IL – Man Arrested After Domestic Dispute and Attempted Murder

Peoria, IL – A domestic dispute led to the arrest of a Peoria man Tuesday evening on multiple charges, including attempted murder.

According to Peoria Police, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Wilcox at approximately 8:28 p.m. Tuesday, where they reportedly found 40-year-old Deontrae M. Jordan. Jordan was taken into custody without incident, and a loaded handgun was reportedly found nearby. The female victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Jordan faces charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Attempted First Degree Murder.
